Well, we just got home from a fabulous 8 day vacation to Vancouver Island, BC. It was just me, Rich and the boys, and we had such a great time! The weather was perfect, and the kids even behaved themselves on the 14 hour car trip! We went to the gorgeous Butchart Gardens, explored an Undersea aquarium, touched and held bugs at the Bug Zoo, (well, Richie and Daddy did that---Mom stood back and took pictures! Ü) visited President Bush at Wax Museum, (Really! I have photo proof!) took a scenic ferry trip around the harbor, and got to see some teeny-tiny people and towns at Miniature World. The kids thought it was great fun to take a giant ferry boat--that carried our car!!--over to the island as well. The whole trip was an adventure, from start to finish!
At the Petting Zoo in Beacon Hill Park. The baby goats were so cute and friendly! I sat on a perch to wait for the kids and soon enough, all of the "kids" came right up to me!
Visiting my cousin, Elizabeth, and her family in Tacoma, WA, on the way home.
Her new baby, Rose Mary:
Here we are waiting for the ferry.
See? I told you we had seen the President! The Wax Museum.
The Croc Family.
Rich and Carter at the Bug Zoo.......hmmmm, I think this is when Rich started getting second thoughts about holding this critter!
Richie, on the other hand, had no problems at all handling the creepy crawlys! He will be the first to tell you that this was his favorite part of the whole trip!
Tami and Richie at Miniature World.
Taking a ferry trip around the harbor. (This must've been a courteous smile for the skipper or the camera, because I was freaking out the whole time that Carter was going to jump right out that window at any time!!!)
The pictures tell it all...
